Gallbladder

The gallbladder is responsible for storing bile that is produced by the liver. If stones form in the gallbladder  (gallstones) they can block the common bile duct, obstructing flow of bile to the small intestine. If blocked jaundice, a yellowing of the skin, and white of the eyes will occur. This can be a very painful event.

What were looking for:

We are looking for wall thickness, sludge build up, and stones. If your gallbladder has been removed, we will visualize the common bile duct (CBD) for any abnormalities.
