Kidneys

The kidney is a vital organ that cleanses the blood of waste products continually produced by metabolism.The purpose of the kidney is to maintain the  fluid balance in the body, as well as regulating the levels of chloride, sodium, potassium, and bicarbonate. In addition, the kidneys are a big part in blood pressure regulation and in maintaining adequate red blood cell numbers. 

What were looking for:

Ultrasound screening may reveal abnormalities such as fluid pockets, stones, nodules, masses, or cysts. Any of which may effect the function of the organ.
