Spleen

The spleen is the largest lymphoid organ, part of the immune system. It filters the blood, destroys worn out red blood cells, salvages iron from hemoglobin (iron containing red blood cell), and serves as a blood reservoir. 

What were looking for:

Normally the spleen is the size of your fist, but can become enlarged. This is a condition called splenomegaly. Splenomegaly can be caused from infections to liver disease and cancer.
